Do I have to pass the theory driving test only once?

Can I then take the driving test as many times as I like to pass, or does the theory pass expire after say, a year?

it expires after 2 years if you have not passed your practical. you must pass your theory before you can take your practical exam but i’m sure you knew that :)

i think you haveabout a year after passing your theory, and you can fail the practical as many times as you need in that time, but after a year, you have to do both again…

Little Bear is right. Did you not get the documentation when you passed your Theory Test?

You get 2 years from the date your theory certificate was issued to pass your practical test.
If you haven’t passed within the 2 years then you will need to retake the theory and hazard perception tests and pass them before being able to attempt the practical test again.

There are no limits on how many times you attempt the practical test. If you fail you can retake the test after 10 working days. Basically you can take the test every 2 weeks until you pass!
