A New World Awakening - Health Impacts of Air Pollution & Solutions

Posted by admin on August 30th, 2009 and filed under air pollution | 25 Comments »

http://criticalunity.org - Sound clips & images compiled in a compelling order, in order to present information the masses need to know in an understandable way, because it will now not only be believed, but received hopefully in enough time to eradicate the New World Order and avoid Worldwide martial law.
I have been researching intensively for at least four years now, and I feel that even though the reality of what is happening can you off, it DOES set you free… - I feel completely amazing knowing that I view things more clearly & objectively & see the World for what it is. - I’m not saying that I know it all, or that everything I cover on my site is absolutely 100% accurate, however I am confident that it is more accurate than the subjectivity contained within any history book or whatever.

I’ll make this description simple: When we open our eyes in the morning, we know not what or who we are, until we wake up, usually, because like a baby, we learn things as we go along. In the lifetime of most people, we learn everyday that the World is nothing like what we thought it was. There is verifiable, yet seemingly far-out info you will come across if you have not already, & I urge you to take it as it is, because we all are learning that what used to be understood as impossible is in fact very real…

There will be 3 more parts coming up, as the audio sequence I made was 40 minutes long and I’m limited to 10 minutes per vid.

I made a site to get this stuff out, & so I could give friends & people I know who share an interest in these issues just one URL. - The internet contains a lot of crap, but if you look around a bit, & find sites like http://disclosureproject.org , one adopts a burning desire to get this out to as many people as possible, because the time is TRULY now!
(The music in the background is by Jairamji, name of the song: Mother Tongue).
If most people don’t like it, there will be another version of the videos without background music in the distant future. I just seems much better with music.

The woman speaking is from yourearth.ca & the men are (in chronological order): Terrence Mckenna, Ian Punnit, & Steven Greer.

China Air Pollution

Posted by admin on August 25th, 2009 and filed under pollution | 25 Comments »

China’s air pollution is one of the worst in the world:
- leader in sulfur emissions
- second largest producer of greenhouse gases
- China ranks 94 out of 133 countries listed in the Environmental Performance Index (Yale University).

70% of Chinese monitored cities are moderately to severely polluted (they don’t meet the World Health Organization Air Quality Standards).

33% of urban dwellers breathe toxic air, equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. More on http://www.erenlai.com/index.php?aid=566&lan=3

Water Pollution: Saving the water

Posted by admin on August 18th, 2009 and filed under pollutants | 8 Comments »

Water is our most important resource (making up roughly 70% our bodies), yet we’re destroying it through our pollution. Fresh water comprises of only 3% of all water on Earth. 2/3 of it are frozen, and aside from 0.3% of it being on the surface, the rest of it is underground.
For example:
Over 360 toxic chemicals have been identified in the Great Lakes, the largest group of freshwater lakes on Earth, as well as 43 toxic “hot spots,” where areas are particularly poisonous.

Verizon employees improve air quality by drastically reducing idling.

Posted by admin on August 12th, 2009 and filed under air quality | 1 Comment »

By voluntarily reducing engine idling Verizon employees cut fuel consumption by more than 1 million gallons (equivalent to taking some 1,600 cars off the road for a year).

Overall, Verizons conservation efforts in 2008 alone reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than 303,000 metric tons, the equivalent of taking more than 55,500 cars off the road.

Verizons carbon intensity is approximately nine times below the U.S. average, as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Verizons rate of 64 metric tons of CO2 emissions per million dollars in revenue represents a year-over-year improvement of 3 percent. The company remains committed to finding practical and innovative ways to increase energy efficiency and bolster conservation efforts.

In 2008, Verizon launched a pilot project that reduced the energy used by computers and monitors by installing software to remotely shut off computers not in use. Once this initiative is extended throughout the company, the projected energy savings are expected to be equivalent to the annual energy needs of 88,000 homes.

Verizon also operates the largest fuel cell site of its kind in the nation. The companys Energy Star Award-winning facility in Garden City, N.Y., uses seven fuel cells capable of generating enough electrical power per hour to meet the energy needs of 400 single-family homes.

Again, Lehrer was ahead of his time. Pollution was not a hot topic in the sixties. But if Lehrer thought the world was polluted many years ago, I really wonder what he thinks today.

This is the SECOND version of this song published here. The old 4:3-version with bad (sound) quality is still on the channel.

Lehrer said “OK” to”The Tom Lehrer Wisdom Channel”, as long as the performance is not altered and as long as it’s free in the YouTube flash video format. Do NOT ask for any video originals, ever again.

Click on the Lehrer icon and visit the channel’s front page. The channel is Lehrer only. And here is a link to a NEW channel support page:
