I was wondering how people put headers and cherry bombs on their street machines but how do you pass the emissions test, Also is it lgal to have a car that loud on the street
Exhaust system do not have any bearing on emission test, unless you remove the installed O2 sensor and/or catalytic converter and have omitted it on the new system.

some pass and others dont…its a weird thing…buddy of mine had a carb legal header on his car and did not pass the CO2 or whatever its called….and swaped it back to the stock header and passed….but mine has always passed….also its okay to have it loud as long as its not an import…since its always moded imports that i see getting pulled over… while mustangs with dual cherry bombs drive by with out a worry…even the trucks who have basketball sized muffler pipes dont get pulled…every cop has their own opinion of whats loud and whats considered a modified exhaust…but its really set at the max of 97 dbs i think…
