i want to replace everything from a-z how much will it cost me I need someone to calculate this for me.
need calculation from-
junk yard (im sure all junk yards have similar prices)
and purchased brand new
please let me know i need to make a decision if im going to buy this drag car or not. I want to convert it back to a street car it has the original engine it’s carb’d not smog-able i want to basically have this car set for a emissions test
what is missing from the car and what are the pretest results? all the smog equipment really comes down to a new engine, new exhaust and what ever has been removed.
if you want a better awnser the pretest results and a list of mods to the car as well as whats missing.
always change you oil before going to get it smoged and always make sure the car is at operating temp.
by doing those 2 things it should help a little bit.

I got a used car from an international studnet, she had told me that she did smogcheck but she acually did not do it… and she asked me to do smogcheck, and i did it but the car i bought did not pass the smogcheck and i went to a repair company then i was told that it costs $1500 to fix it( to pass the smogcheck).
According to DMV the responsibility of the seller to provide a valid smog certificate at the time of delivery of the vehicle. There is no provision in the law to sell a vehicle "as is." Therefore the seller is always responsible for the smog certificate even if they mention the car is sold "as-is" because the law doesn’t recognize the "as-is" policy. The buyer has the option of paying for any repairs necessary to get the car to pass the Smog Check but may end up taking the seller to Small Claims Court to recover their costs.
I asked her to pay this, but she refuse it. I wanna sue her but the problem is she went back to her country. What should i do?
