I’m have a fall outdoor wedding ceremony with an indoor reception. I’m think of using apple red, clover green and possible a chocolate brown.
Keeping the green no matter what because my fiance last name is Greenzang
they sound beautiful! I think i like the apple red( which my wedding color) and the brown. green reminds me too much of christmas when combined with the apple red. Good luck and congrats!
Wedding Colors What Do You Think?
Is there a way to extract specific text from a larger block of text in excel 2007? Use of macros is allowed.?
Id’s are in a format as such ##-#### (two numbers, a dash, and a few more numbers). Normally I could use a search function to find the dash within the text and extract the id to compare except this time the text block that I am searching through also contains many other dashes so I get false positives. An example would be to extract 07-8990 from:
the red apple fell off of the tree on 1-10-2009. The id number of the tree is 07-8990. It needs to be replanted on 10-10-2010.
or something like that. I am open to using vba or normal excel functions to pull the ID out.
Thanks
Here is a custom function that will get the ID from your text string. It will find the first "word" in your text that only has one dash. A "word" is any contiguous text or numbers separated by spaces.
To install the custom function…
Alt+F11 to open the VBA editor
From the VBA menu, select Insert\ Module
Paste the code below in the edit window.
Back in Excel…
If your text is in cell A1, use this formula to get the ID
=GETID(A1)
—
Function GETID(rng As Range) As String
Application.Volatile
Dim sWords() As String, i As Integer
sWords = Split(rng, " ")
For i = LBound(sWords) To UBound(sWords)
If Len(sWords(i)) - Len(Replace(sWords(i), "-", "")) = 1 Then
If Not IsNumeric(Right(sWords(i), 1)) Then
sWords(i) = Left(sWords(i), Len(sWords(i)) - 1)
End If
GETID = sWords(i)
Exit For
End If
Next i
Erase sWords
End Function
Is it about time this came out? Some Jehovah’s Witnesses want more than to leave Watchtowers ?
Towns where Alleged Jehovah’s Witness Child molesters have been reported to silentlambs
Home
Listed by each state
If you would to add a new listing contact silentlambs at info@silentlambs.org
The list below is designed to alert you to a possible danger in your community. Over the course of the last four years silentlambs has been a repository of reports on alleged Jehovah’s Witness child molesters. Victims have reported extensively on times, dates and places abuse occurred. We have wrestled with how to alert the public as well as members that may be in congregations where abusers have been reported.
We offer the following suggestions if you as a Jehovah’s Witness are in a town/congregation where a report has been made.
Do not allow your children to be alone with anyone in the congregation.
Escort your children to the bathroom during meetings and make sure no else is with them when using facilities.
Never allow your children to be alone in the car with anyone while in field service.
Do not allow any member to study with your child alone.
Avoid camping trips in which children go as a group with one or two adults.
Avoid baby sitters that are adult males.
At a get together watch your children and keep them in sight at all times.
Ask elders directly if they know of any abusers in your congregation, use specific names and note their reaction. They will not tell you directly but indirectly you can often figure out who it is. If one elder is less cooperative talk to another till you find out enough information to know the facts.
Check the local sex offender list in your area, type in the name of every person in your congregation to see if any are listed.
Notice any male member of the congregation that does not have privileges such as microphone or other duties around the congregation, especially if for a long period of time. They can offer talks on the TMS or sermons Service Meeting but are not allowed to conduct meetings. (This is only in case of a confessed child molester)
Note any member of the congregation that has children with sever rebellion or emotional problems.
Do not allow your children to have sleepovers with anyone.
Note members that the elders avoid having around their children.
If you are a member of the public and your community is on the list take the following steps to protect your family.
If Jehovah’s Witnesses call at your home never allow them in your home
If you do not wish Jehovah’s Witnesses to call at your home purchase a no trespassing sign and place it near your door. JW’s are instructing to only respect "no trespassing" signs any other variation will be ignored.
If you do not wish Jehovah’s Witnesses to call you can also call the local number and ask to be placed on the "do not call" list. They will note your home and check about once a year to make sure you wish to remain on the list.
If you choose to study with Jehovah’s Witnesses do so at a neutral location such as the local Kingdom Hall or in a public place.
Never allow your child to be alone with members or their children.
If you choose to attend meetings with Jehovah’s Witnesses then we suggest you follow the guidelines above for members.
Remember that most members are not aware of who the molesters are in their congregation according to church policy. They do not know.
If two Jehovah’s Witnesses call at your door one could be a child molester. According to church guidelines all confessed child molesters are required to have a partner when going door to door. If two Jehovah’s Witnesses appear at your door you might wish to ask if one or both are child molesters for peace of mind. Of course keep in mind if the person is an accused child molester they are allowed to work alone in the door to door work.
We hope this information is helpful and assists with the ultimate goal of silentlambs, protecting children. Check back as the list is updated on a regular basis.

Is there anything I need to improve on in this paragraph?
PLEASE DON’T BE TURNED OFF BY THE LENGTH!! IT’LL ONLY TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO GO THROUGH!!!! We’re doing a compare and contrast essay for English and I chose to compare Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to a version of Snow White created by a German band Rammstein. So far, I only have the Rammstein part of my essay done and it’s taken me 2 days to come up and after much scribbling I think it’s done. But I want to get a second opinion before I begin the second part of my essay.
ANY advice would be GREAT. Comments, critique, etc. I would LOVE any tips.
Thank you!!!

Rammstein’s “Sonne” version of Snow White is darker than the average fairytale. It introduces adult themes rarely seen in fairytales and portrays less idealistic characters. Moreover, it focuses on the dwarfs and the major effects Snow White had on them instead of Snow White herself. Yet it still holds some of the original aspects of the Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, such as the characters and their interaction with one another. The main difference between Rammstein’s Snow White and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is that the former falls under a “realism” category while the latter, with its joyful dancing dwarfs and perfect happy endings, is a “romanticism” type of tale. The story begins in the gloomy forests of Germany, where there lived seven little men, or dwarfs. Everyday, they would wake up, grab their pickaxes and jackhammers, and make their way to the mines, where they would mine until their faces were black with soot and shiny with sweat. Afterwards, arms sore and stomachs empty, the group would make their way back home to fill their tiny tummies and then go to sleep in their small beds. This was the day-to-day lifestyle the dwarfs in not only Rammstein’s Snow White, but Disney’s as well. However, the two stories begin to different turns as they progress. The tale continues on one fateful day, tired, hungry, and covered in dirt, the dwarfs headed back to their cottage after another day’s hard work in the mines. Upon returning home, they found most of their gold missing and their beds unmade. Who is the perpetrator? they asked each other. As if on cue, a dark shadow engulfed the room and the dwarfs turned to find their answer standing in the doorway: it was the sexy giantess, Snow White. With her black-as-ebony hair, red-as-blood lips, and white-as-snow skin, Disney’s Snow White captured the hearts of millions; no one could resist the sweet, young princess. However, Rammstein’s Snow White was far from “sweet.” Although she retained the typical Snow White features, such as the blue and yellow dress and red ribbon, sex-appeal was added to her character making her enticing and an invigorating change in the dwarfs’ dreary surroundings. In Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the dwarfs had discovered Snow White in their beds and were immediately taken by her charm and cuteness. Although she was undoubtedly less than half their age, she was still more than twice their heights and quickly established her authority as the lady of the house— a mother. A similar phenomenon took place in Rammstein’s Snow White. In no time at all, Snow White had completely taken over the dwarfs’ household and, more importantly, the dwarfs. However, in this version of the tale, Snow White was more of a dictator than a mother, though both are equally bossy. For example, mining had ceased to be a way to make money. After Snow White intruded on their once-simple lives, mining was done for the sole purpose of being able present gold to Snow White, whose gold-dust addiction was only matched by the dwarf’s infatuation with her. Dinner for the dwarfs was little more than a peepshow; the dwarfs would gawk at Snow White, while occasionally remembering to put food in their mouths. Nights were spent doting on Snow White, doing things like brushing her hair, or foreplay, such as being spanked or “disciplined” by her. The dwarfs’ sexual obsession with Snow White had no end; they begged for her attention and craved her touch. She had inevitably changed their lives, and although it may not seem so, this was very similar what Disney’s Snow White did to the dwarfs. Also like Disney, towards the end of the story, the dwarfs returned home to find Snow White dead. However, the cause of her death was not a poisonous apple. It was a drug overdose; Snow White had snorted a dangerously high amount gold-dust, which resulted in her death. The dwarfs carried her body in a glass coffin onto a mountaintop. As they turned to leave, an apple fell out of its tree and crashed through the coffin, miraculously reviving Snow White. Although this is not an ideal version of a classic fairytale, there is still a lesson to be learned: indulgences in life, no matter how good they may seem, can destroy you; Snow White’s gold-dust addiction nearly killed her and the dwarfs’ lust for her turned them into slaves- after Snow White was revived, they are seen back in the mines working vigorously
I made a few changes, but I’m having trouble posting them hear. Just offhand, I think you’ll improve this by reading it outloud. You’ll hear a few places where your writing became a redudant and/or verbose. I’ll try to edit this response to include my updates. BTW, yahoo is truncating your post since your paragraph is so long.

What are some epic things to do over fall break with your friends?
My friends and I live in a small southern town that all they have are a Chili’s Starbucks Kohl’s Two Grocery stores Apple bee’s and A Red Lobster. I just started homeschooling and I never get to see my friends anymore. We have decided to get together over fall break. There is around six of us. We want it to be something that we’ll never forget, without getting in huge trouble. We can’t drive. Any ideas?
You could do a movie marathon. It’s great for when you don’t have a car and want to do something amazing for a long period of time. You can have food and drinks and make it kind of a sleepover event. I did a movie marathon over the summer with a bunch of friends and it was totally unforgettable. We watched a bunch of movies based on video games, and they were awful. We spent the whole time making fun of them and laughing about how stupid they were. I wouldn’t replace that memory for anything in the world.
Or… You could do a camp out and bonfire. Do you live in a woodsy area? The suburbs? All you really need is a tent and a place to make a fire. It sounds corny, but having s’mores and hot dogs roasted on an open fire is a ton of fun. You can play capture the flag, flashlight tag, or any other ridiculous games you can think of.
Or… You could do a really long bike ride. If it’s not too hilly where you live, you could go on an amazingly long bike ride. Go places you never thought about going before. See things you never noticed before. When we get driven all over the place, sometimes we miss totally awesome things that we would have noticed if we were going a bit slower. Just last week I found a house that looks like it was made entirely out of Legos! If the weather is right, this is a really fun thing to do.
Or… You could do a gigantic mural together. Get a huge piece of paper or wood and just paint that thing until it looks awesome. It would be a great memory for you all. You can even do a huge paint by number if nobody in your group of friends is artistic enough to come up with a design.
Or… You could go to one of those places you mentioned in your question and just watch people. Have you ever watched people eat stuff before? They do weird things. A ton of people don’t even close their mouths when they eat! Gross. You can watch people’s interactions with each other and try to figure out what they are talking about. You could ignore what they are doing and just make up what they are saying to each other, with hilarious results.
There are so many things to do, I really could never list them all here, but here are some more ideas for you to check out. Some of the stuff listed on these links are not very good, but they are far more comprehensive than I could ever be.
Fall wedding help. puh-lease?
so my boyfrined proposed to me last night. first of all im only 18 and he’s 19. we both are in college and we decided to have the wedding in the fall of 2010 so we would both be outta school and be 21. im not a very good person when it comes to matching colors and need some help when picking colors.
i like apple red and was thinking of silver but idk if that would look good in a fall wedding. i dislike brown so thats not an opption. and i think green would look to christmasy. but i dont want to use leaves and pumpkins as decor.
i know im so picky but i dont know what to do. and im only doing this now because i want to at least get the colors outta the way.
Puh-lease and thank you
my daughter opted for a cream colored gown, so her colors were a dark rusty red, olive green and the cream. the cake had cream frosting with flowers in those shades. the groomsmen wore traditional black. the pumpkin color will go with the dark red as well on the tables.
it was beautiful!
What are your favorite kind of leaves that turns colors in the fall, oak, maple, beech, spruce, apple, fur?
I really like the maple tree ones, they are really pretty colors like orange and red and yellow, and they have a very unique shape
Thanks, have a great day!
I Live up North and Maple in fall season is incrediable

Please rate my joke! it made my whole class laugh!!!?
please just tell me if you lol. okay… here goes
there are 3 guys in a row on an airplane. one takes a bite out of an orange, and says, "too sweet", so he throws it out the window. the next guy takes a bite ouy of an apple and says, "too sour", so he throws it out the window. the third guy takes a bite out of a grinade, and says, " too crunchy", so he throws it out the window. now down below, a red head is on the ground crying because an orange fell out of the sky and killed her dog. a brunett is on the ground crying because an apple fell out of the sky and killed her cat. a blonde is rolling on the ground cracking up because she farted and it blew up a buliding.
A chuckle
Critique my poem please?
I wrote this poem for english and would like some input.
There is but a single red apple,
Upon a single lonely tree.
It hangs but by a delicate thread-like stem,
Desperately clinging to the fabric of life itself.
For through this stem comes nourishment and health,
And without it the apple would wither away.
Any one bump may separate the apple,
Away from the tree of life.
It would fall, fall, fall,
Landing on the cold, hard ground.
Where it would rot,
Lose its rosy color and become part of the ground once more,
But perhaps it may also form a new tree,
And numerous apples.
My life, my soul is but hanging by a thread.
The smallest things keeping it from floating away,
Away to become part of Him once more.
It takes a hold of these small things,
And fastens me to this world.
The world nourishes me,
Keeps me youthful and at ease.
If these small latches come undone,
I would soon wither away,
Become nature once more.
The poem is supposed to be Whitmanesque.
I think your poem is very well written. I only have a couple of suggestions that I would make that might make a couple of spots pull together easier.
The section that says" Landing on the cold, hard ground. I would change the period after ground, and put a comma and continue on with where it would rot, lose it’s rosy color and become part of the ground once more. Period, instead of comma after once more. Since that section is all one thought it makes sense to pull it together in this way.
My own thought was that if I were writing this I might change the numerous apples part and put "But perhaps it may form a new tree, with offspring and new life.
That last thought was just my own personal opinion. I think the poem is quite good!
